1- Plastic molds manufacture
Plastic molding is the process of creating molds or tools that are used to inject and mold plastic materials to form specific shapes is as follows:
1- Mold Design:
● The needed shape and dimensions of the final plastic piece should be determined.
● The mold should be designed based on these specifications using computer engineering software (CAD).
2. Mold Fabrication:
● The actual molds are built using materials such as steel or aluminium.
● The mold consists of two pieces that can be dismantled for easy use and replacing it by the trembling parts.
3. Mold Preparation
● Preparing the mold to receive the plastic material, such as heating it to ensure smooth flow and cooling it to avoid deformation.
4. Plastic injection:
● The plastic granules are heated until they become liquid.
● Hot plastic materials are injected into the mold using a piston.
5. Mold Cooling:
● Once the material is injected, the mold is cooled to allow the plastic to harden and form to the needed shape.
6. Ejection:
● The molds are separated and the final piece is injected.
● An automated system can be used to push the part away from the mold.
7. Finishing:
● The piece may require additional finishing, such as removing excess edges or performing other operations to improve the finish.
Plastic mold manufacturing is used to produce a wide range of plastic products, such as industrial parts, toys, packaging, and more.
2- Turning and metal forming works
Turning and metal forming process include a wide range of process in order to shape and transform metals into different shapes based on technical needs and requirements. Here's an overview of some of these processes:
-
Turning:
● Turning is used to shape metal pieces using a lathe device.
● The part is mounted on the spindle, and the tool is moved in an axial direction to form the needed shape.
● It is used to manufacture cylinders, molds, and other rotating parts.
2. Milling:
● The milling process is used to remove material from metal pieces using rotating tools.
● The piece and the tool are moved simultaneously to form the needs shape.
● Used to create grooves and surfaces of complicated shapes.
3. Drilling:
● Drilling is used to create holes in metal pieces.
● Drilling can be done manually or by automated drilling machines.
4. Planning:
● The planning process is used to form large, flat surfaces on metal pieces.
● The piece is moved repeatedly under the cutting tool.
5. Casting:
● The metal is melted and poured into a mold to create 3D pieces.
● It is used in producing complicated shaped metal parts and large structures.
6. Forming:
● These processes include forming metals using pressure and cold or hot forming.
● The metal is shaped to achieve the needed shape.
7. Shearing:
● Used to cut sheet metal into specified sizes using a cutting tool.
8. Welding:
● Welding is used to join metal pieces using heat or pressure.
9. Punching:
● Punching is used to create holes and patterns on metal sheets.
